Cesar Lopez, CEO & Director
Mr. Lopez is a founder and director of several public and private junior mining companies. He is also a partner of Lopez and Ashton, a Santiago based law firm. Mr. Lopez is a native Spanish speaker experienced in managing and developing companies in South America. He holds an LL.M. in International Law from Golden Gate University and an MSc in Mineral Economics from the University of Chile.
Stephanie Ashton, CFO
Mrs. Ashton is a founder and partner of Lopez & Ashton, a Santiago based law firm. She has been a founder, Director and CFO for a number of public companies, which has also included experience in various aspects of corporate development. She holds an MBA in International Legal & Tax Strategy and an MSc in Mineral Economics.
Thomas Henricksen, VP Exploration
Mr. Henricksen has over 35 years experience in mineral exploration with the last 15 years based in South America. Previously, he has acted as a consultant geologist with Rio Tinto and was chief geologist at Norsemont Mining Inc. Mr. Henricksen was also a founder and consulting geologist for AQM Copper where he provided oversight on AQM’s Zafranal project in Peru. He holds a PhD in Geology from Oregon State University and in 1991 was named AIME Engineer of the Year, Columbia Section.
Elina Chow, VP Corporate Development
Ms. Chow brings over eight years of marketing and investor relations experience to Seafield and has extensive experience in corporate branding, media relations and event management. She has played an integral part in a number of successful mineral exploration companies. Most recently, she was the Director of Investor Relations at Continental Gold (CNL-T), an advance-stage exploration company with a suite of gold projects in Colombia. Prior to Continental, Ms. Chow was with Auryx Gold Corp. and Colossus Minerals Inc., where she oversaw the closing of capital raising transactions totaling over $300 million and led marketing initiatives to effectively increase awareness of the companies among investment communities. Ms. Chow has led the development of investor relations strategies for companies with market capitalizations ranging from $48 million to $1 billion.
Douglas Wu, Director
Mr. Wu is co-founder and CEO of G2 Natural Resources, LLC, an affiliate of G2 Investment Group. For more than 25 years he has been a private equity investor with experience in hedge fund and private equity investing in the natural resource sector and a variety of industries. Mr. Wu has helped build businesses on a venture capital basis and assisted in financing them through multiple rounds with leading institutional investors. He is a graduate of Harvard College and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Howard Crosby, Director
Mr. Crosby is currently President and Director of Southern Legacy Minerals, Inc., President and Director of Senetek, PLC, and a Director of White Mountain Titanium Corp. He was a founder of US Sliver and High Plains Uranium, both TSX listed companies, and was a former Director of AQM Copper. He has been actively involved as an investor in the resource sector for over 30 years. He is a graduate of the University of Idaho.
Juan Villarzu, Director
Mr. Villarzu is the former President & CEO of Codelco, where under his management, the value of the company doubled between 2000 and 2006. He was awarded the title “Copper Man of the Year” in 2005 from the Copper Club, Inc. Other past positions include Senior Economist at the World Bank and Minster Secretary General of the Presidency of Chile. He holds and MA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
Antonio Pichardo, Director
Mr. Pichardo has 14 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is a director at WestLB’s Metals and Mining group, having worked there for 10 years across Europe and the Americas. He has advised and executed financing for junior mining companies throughout the Americas and has arranged, underwritten and executed debt financing in excess of US$4
Billion. He holds an MBA from ICADE in Madrid.
Anthony Roodenburg, Director
Mr. Roodenburg has 25 years of experience in the Canadian financial industry. He began his career as an Investment Executive with National Bank Financial (1987-1991) and has subsequently served as an officer, director and founder of several public companies in the junior resource sector.
James Pirie, Director
Dr. Pirie is a 40 year veteran geologist of the Canadian mining industry, and for the last 14 years he has been involved in all aspects of managing junior resource companies. During the 1980′s and 1990′s, he was exploration manager at Breakwater, Granduc, Homestake and Esso Minerals.
Giovanny Ortiz, General Manager – Colombia
Mr. Ortiz is a Colombian geologist with over 15 years experience in exploration in the country. Giovanny Ortiz started work at Angostura in 1997 as exploration geologist and rose to become Exploration Manager. He led a team of over 25 geologists, civil and mining engineers and technicians. He has significant experience managing complex operations. Mr. Ortiz led the effort on the resource estimate front, taking Angostura to Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility levels. Mr. Ortiz is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and has acted as Qualified Person under Canadian National Instrument 43-101.
